Through KCET candidates will receive admission in various Government, Private Un-aided Minority/ Minority KCET 2015 notification has not been released but aspirants of KCET should know eligibility criteria for it, before applying. If candidates does not even fulfill one criteria, he/ she will be disqualified from admission process. If candidates realize, after submitting application fee, that they do not fulfill certain eligibility criteria then application fee will not be compensated, irrespective of whether candidate give exam or not. KCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria is given below:

KCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria is mandatory for every candidate to fulfill. It is related to:

Education Qualification:
- In between class 1st to 12th applicant must have studies, for at least 7 years, in Government or Government recognized institution of Karnataka.
- If candidates applicant has made more than one attempt for any year, it will be counted as single year only.
- Class 11th and 12th should have been passed from an institution which Karnataka government recognizes.
- One of candidate’s parents should have studied in Karnataka for at least 7 years.
Language and Domicile:
- If mother tongue of an applicant and one its parent is Kannnada, Tulu or Kodava. Plus candidate have stayed for 7 years in Kannada speaking region of South Sholapur, Jath, Akkalkot or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharahstra or Hosadurga or Kasargod or Taluks of Kerala. Such candidates will hav to write Kannada language exam as well.
- Parents or parent of candidate must be Karnataka Domicile.
- Applicants belonging to criteria above should have qualified 12th in state other than Karnataka. Also should have resided outside Karnataka.
Wards Of:
- Ward of Defence Personnel who have worked in Karnataka, out of which one year spend under Karnataka Government, and have qualified class 11th and 12th this period are eligible to write KCET 2015.
- Ward of Defence Personnel who claim to be Karnataka Domicile while joining India army are eligible to write exam, as per KCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria. Applicant will have to produce document of proof for this condition.
- As per KCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria ward of Defence Personnel who have served in Karnataka for at least one year and still on duty in Active Service and is granted permission to stay in Karnataka. Such applicants are eligible to write KCET, if they have passed qualifying exam from a recognized university or Govt. Institution of Karnataka.
- Ward of Ex-Serviceman who claimed Karnataka as his home place at the time of joining the services and has the proof of it as a Domicile from “Deputy Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement” are eligible to write KCET. Provided ward should have passed class 12th exam from recognized board or institute.
- Ward of Union Government Employee or Karnataka State Government Employee or Union/Joint Sector Undertaking Employee who have worked for 1 year in Karnataka are eligible to apply. But the ward should have studies class 11th and 12th in Karnataka during this time period only. Qualifying exam should have been passed from Government recognized university or school or from educational institute under government of Karnataka.
- Ward of Union Government or Karnataka State Undertaking or Joint Undertaking, working or retired, and have declared Karnataka as their home town are eligible to write exam only if they have studied under Government or Government recognized institution. Institution should be located in Karnataka. These candidates should have lived in Karnataka for at least 7 years, irrespective of where they live currently.
- Wards of Karnataka elected Member of Parliament who have passed 12th standard from recognized Board or University are eligible write KCET as per KCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria.
- Wards of All India Service of Karnataka cadre/ Karnataka State Government employee, working or retired, who have resided outside Karnataka while studying in 1st to 12th can be included in KCET 2015 if they have lived 7 years in Karnataka.
- Wards of Jammu and Kashmir Migrants can write KCET if they can submit certificate of migration attested by “District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner” of India.
- Applicants who have not studies in Karnataka but in Kannada medium are eligible. These candidates will not have to write Kannada language exam. Their qualifying exam should be from a recognized University or Board.
- Ward of CAPF who have registered Karnataka as their home state while joining and can prove it, can write KCET 2015 even if they have passed qualifying exam from any recognized institution through out India
