technology solutions company, will launch an English training programme for students on DD
Chandana channel from November 14.
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will launch the programme, which aims to develop the
English language skills among the government schoolchildren, on the occasion of Children’s
Day
The programmes will have contents on English language grammar and lessons from school
syllabus. Microso

7 model schools soon
The civic body will establish seven model smart schools by December 16 under project Roshini.
The Palike has planned to upgrade its 156 schools by giving smart facilities and training to more
than 800 teachers under the project.
In the first phase the project, we are upgrading seven BBMP schools. These schools will have all
the modern facilities with smart classes.
Other remaining schools will also get modern facilities
in a phased manner,” added Manjunath Prasad.
The seven schools to get the facilities are Cleveland Town, Austin Town, Ganganagar,
Gandhinagar, Moodalapalya, Byrasandra, and Ashoknagar.
On September 26, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy launched Project Roshni, an initiative to
provide infrastructural and financial support to all the BBMP schools. With this, the schools will
also follow a holistic curriculum similar to the private schools in the city.
The BBMP has collaborated with Microso
and Tech Avant-Garde to upgrade all the existing
corporation schools.
