The COMEDK-Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK-UGET 2016) will be conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) on May 8. The exam is conducted for taking admission to under graduate medical, dental and engineering courses in Comedk member institutions for the academic year 2016.
COMEDK UGET 2016 Eligibility Criteria: COMEDK has announced the guidelines related to Eligibility Criteria of COMEDK UGET 2016. In the meantime, candidates can check below the criteria-
Engineering:
1. Students are required to have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC from any recognized university or Board in the country.
2. They are required to have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in their class 12th or 2nd PUC exam. Candidates must have passed these subjects individually.
3. Aspirants must have studied Physics, Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject along with any one of the following optional subjects - Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology or any other technical vocational courses.
4. Candidates are required to have studied English as a subject in the qualifying exam.
Note: There are no lateral entry admissions, so diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test.
Architecture:
1. Students are required to have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC from any recognized university or Board in the country with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government.
2. Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka).
3. There shall be no Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Course. The candidates should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture and score a minimum of 80 marks out of 200 (for both general and category candidates)
4. Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch course shall submit separate application.
