BENGALURU:The Pre-university Education Department has asked all colleges offering PU courses to update admission details of students online from the next academic year.
The data of students joining PUC from the academic year 2015-16 will help the department during second PUC examinations and also during Common Entrance Test (CET).
After the admission procedure of these students gets completed, principals of all the PU colleges have to submit the details of each student on the Karnataka Examination Authority’s (KEA) website.
KEA executive director Sushma Godbole said this new system has been launched to maintain the database of students, which will be interlinked till they complete the PUC.
Sushma said uploading the details of students, particularly science students on the website at I PUC level itself, will help to link the data, when they apply for CET.
She said KEA also has the plans of developing a system to link this data at higher education level also.
