The Kishore Viagyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) is the special programme run by the Indian Institute of Science for assisting in spreading the scientific awareness and motivating students to pursue the careers related to research in this field.
The Kishore Viagyanik Protsahan Yojna conducts the Fellowship Programmes for eligible applicants only. The candidates belonging to the following under graduate courses can enroll for the KVPY Fellowships: Basic Sciences, B.Sc./ BS/ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ MS in the following subjects: Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Cell Biology/ Ecology/ Molecular Biology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Human Biology/ Genetics/ Biomedical Sciences/ Applied Physics/ Geophysics/ Applied Physics/ Material Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Material Sciences/ Marine Biology/ Neurosciences and Human Biology respectively.
