Karnataka SSLC results on mobile phone through SMS for free from 2014
The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB), Bangalore, will send the SSLC results to mobile phones through SMS for free from next year 2014. "We have already directed the headmasters of all schools to mention the mobile numbers of parents in the examination registration forms." "We will save the mobile numbers along with register numbers and using that data we will send the results," said a senior official of KSEEB. Every year, school head masters will fill the details about the candidates for the examination in registration form. From now, they have to include the candidate parents mobile phone numbers to get their results. However, KSEE board will send the results to the candidates who are passed in the examination.
"There are cases where some students who initially fail but pass during the revaluation. So, we have decided not to update the results of those who fail," the official added. Earlier, students had to pay some amount to get the results on their mobile phones. "We collect the exam fee from students. It is their right to know the results without spending anything. So we have decided to provide results on mobiles within a few minutes of the declaration of it," the official said. Officials also clarified that, if students did not get the results on their phones, it will not mean that they have failed in the examination. "Sometimes there are network issues. So we advise students to confirm their results when it is announced at schools the next morning," the official said.
